Lessons with Alice

Picture
I am a full-time, private music instructor of voice, piano, guitar, songwriting and music theory.  I absolutely LOVE what I do and helping my students reach their own personal musical goals, no matter how great or small. I love teaching all ages and it is truly never too late to learn!
I began my teaching career at Lakewood Dance and Music Center in Norfolk, Va. in 2002, during my second year of college as a music major.
I, then went on to start my own private studio at Alpha Music in Virginia Beach, Va. for the past five years. With a loyal student following, I have recently been fortunate enough to begin teaching full-time at my home studio in Virginia Beach, Va. Below is a photo of the private studio, so you can get acquainted with my space.

Lessons with Sean

I started teaching music in Roanoke in 1994.  Now, I teach at my own private studio, along with my fiance, Alice Conner.  I teach electric and acoustic guitar, electric bass, mandolin and music theory for any instrument.  I have been teaching music for over 16 years now and love what I do!
I love teaching kids of ALL ages.  Just like the saying goes..."Growing old is mandatory, Growing up is optional!"  I’ve taught people from the ages of 5 to 87 years young. And any age you can imagine in between!  Not only can I  teach the very inexperienced (never played a note), I can also help the professional player find their voice again or help them work into a new realm of tonalities and/or colors.
I’m available for lessons Tuesday through Saturday.  My studio is conveniently located right off of 264 AND Virginia Beach Blvd. in the Lynnhaven area.  I’ve taught underprivileged children, children who have learning disabilities, children who are difficult in class...I’m extremely patient and flexible. I’ve taught those who are school bound, I’ve helped those looking for fun times on the beach.  I’ve taught savants and touring pro’s. I’ve taught Mom’s new to the instrument and military vets who wanted to finally get to doing what they always wanted to do...play music!  I can find the solution to your musical problem !
Music lessons, taught in a peaceful, comfortable atmosphere.  Music lessons in a quiet environment, free from retail store noises and interruptions.  THE FREEDOM TO LEARN IS HERE. The freedom to learn and to grow.  I view music lessons to be much more than a brief tutor session.  Music truly is the universal language and anyone who desires should be taught how to converse in it.

Instrument & Amp Repair

Not only do I help students along with techniques, chords, songs, scales, modes, melodic concepts...as far as they are willing to let the instrument take them...I can also help with quick instrument fixes, things that could cost you $50 or more and a week away from your instrument, if taken to a local shop.
